This Privacy Policy explains how Myelix Labs Limited ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use AEON RIFT — the game, the website at aeon-rift.com, and related account or billing services (the "Services").

1. Who We Are

The Services are operated by Myelix Labs Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

• Account information — email address, password (stored as a secure hash), commander name, home sector, and account preferences when you register or manage settings. We do not access third-party services beyond what is strictly required to create or authenticate your AEON RIFT account.
• Billing information — round access status and payment-related metadata. Card payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as Merchant of Record. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
• Product analytics — website and product usage events via PostHog (for example, page views and identified account events). When you are signed in, analytics may be associated with your account ID and email address.
• Technical logs — IP address, browser type, timestamps, and similar server logs needed for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
• Communications — messages you send us via support, feedback forms, or email.
• Game data — your in-game actions, fleet orders, round scores, Commander MMR, faction, and match history. This data is necessary to run the game and is not sold or shared beyond what is described in this policy.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, secure, and improve the Services
• Create and authenticate accounts
• Process round payments and send billing-related notices
• Measure product usage and diagnose reliability issues
• Communicate about updates, security notices, and (where permitted) news about AEON RIFT
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use session cookies and similar technologies required for authentication, CSRF protection, and site functionality. Analytics tools may also set cookies or local storage keys to measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit account features.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

• Service providers such as Paddle (payments), PostHog (analytics), hosting, email delivery, and infrastructure vendors who process data on our behalf.
• Legal / safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Myelix Labs Limited, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legitimate business, tax, and legal purposes. Analytics and telemetry are retained according to our provider configurations and operational needs. You may request deletion of your account data as described below.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we process, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

8. International Transfers

We and our processors may process data in Hong Kong, the European Union, the United States, and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms provided by our vendors.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Export account information in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential marketing emails

10. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for players aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or by email.
